The Maywood Green Team has established a community garden on West Fairmount Avenue between Edel and Palmer Avenues. There are 16 planting beds that are offered to Maywood organizations and residents on an annual basis. During its first year, 2013, the Green Team grew over 100 pounds of vegetables which were donated to a local soup kitchen/food pantry.

On Saturday, 5/15/21, the Maywood Green Team, with help from Cub Scout Pack 1199, planted 2 pollinator from Bergen County Audubon Society. Pictures of the planting, garden layouts, plants selected and their costs are below.
